Essential Job Duties:
- Complete bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees.
- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain payroll records by contacting employees via email or phone to obtain timesheet approvals when required.
- Perform journal entries and general data entry support.
- Generate and run custom financial reports.
- Maintain, balance, and update financial records using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Provide administrative support, including research, report preparation, and handling information requests.
Education and Skills Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of Sage 50 (asset).
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Experience in a private career college environment (asset).
- Solid knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Payroll experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (email, messaging, etc.).
- Ability to perform repetitive data entry tasks with accuracy.
